Julio Sobral and Jamie Schouela of Blue Ant Media: We will announce it soon, but specifically, it will be between Mexico, Brazil, and Chile, where we see an advantage to co-produce with Canada
Jamie Schouela, president of Global Channels and Media, and Julio Sobral, SVP of US & Latin America Global Networks of Blue Ant Media, announced they are working to close co-production agreements with partners in Latin America soon.
“We are looking at what to do with two partners in Latin America. We are currently talking, and there is interest on both sides. We will announce it soon, but specifically, it will be between Mexico, Brazil, and Chile, where we see an advantage to co-produce with Canada,” said Schouela.
He explained that Blue Ant Media is a producer, distributor, and channel operator, having businesses in all three branches. “In certain cases, we produce for our channels and sometimes for platforms worldwide, whether for Netflix or channels in various regions. We are very active in that, which is detached from our channel business.”
He highlighted their wide offering for linear channels and FAST, as the different genres they handle, such as natural history for their Love Nature network or home content for the Home signal.
“We are always looking for co-production partners to work with and program content together. They can be from different regions worldwide to program and monetize that content creatively,” he concluded.
