Hey Duggee
BBC Worldwide has plans to increase distribution of the brand CBeebies in US Hispanic. For that, Henrietta Hurford-Jones, director of Childrens Content, BBC Worldwide -who comes from the headquarters in London, is analyzing this market and its needs.Hurford-Jones stated that one of the things they are focusing on are the big animation franchises. “We have seen that a show like {Hey Duggee;www.produ.com/television/videos/index.html?Noti=11401} -that had its debut on Nick Jr. in English and was launched on August 6 on CBeebies in US Hispanic- has had very good results in the United Kingdom and is a great animation series, she expressed.A show they have developed and produced, which they plan to launch on CBeebies in the Hispanic market is Go Jetters, on students from the Go Jet academy that are on the final phase of their geographical training and must learn about the most fascinating places around the world. The shows that have done very well among Hispanics include In the Night Garden, and Sarah and Duck.Another of the companys goals is to increase CBeebies digital presence. They are also evaluating different streaming offers and options. Hurford-Jones stressed that for the channels target 2 to 6 year-olds- linear continues to be key, “but we need to adapt to the increasing technologies and integrate them. Programming has to be more interactive, but I still believe that children want to consume shows that have a start, a middle and an end.
