Gema López and Liliam Hernández from Universal Cinergía, company responsible for dubbing into Spanish, together with Barbora Susterova from Eccho Rights
Eccho Rights arrived at MipTV with a robust offer, topped by series from the Turkish company Ay Yapim.
Barbora Susterova, manager of Eccho Rights for Latin America, highlighted titles such as Phi and Heart of the City, as well as the Swedish series María Wern. The executive expressed that they are doing well in the Latin American market, with an important presence in almost all territories.
Currently, the product they are selling the most is the novela Elif, a drama that has more than 650 episodes in three seasons, with a fourth season already confirmed for the end of 2017.
Elif has already been bought by channels in Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Honduras and Mexico and is in negotiations in other markets such as Puerto Rico, Paraguay, and US Hispanic.
According to Barbora, Turkish products are not a passing trend, but have come to stay and are successful in the region because they are similar in how the stories are told, they have the same values and structure, and the plots are universal.
The company is also seeking to distribute products from Latin America to the world, as in the case of La Casa del Mar by OnDIRECTV.
