Azteca Mexico ventures into the production of horror series with Dos Lagos (12×60´), version for Latin America of the British mini series Lightfields (5×60), with support from FOX, chain in charge of the its international distribution, whereas Azteca will be in charge of Mexico.During the visit to one of its locations in Mexico, the online producer Gildardo Retes, said that the story was modified to achieve a 12-episode product, where we mainly included more characters, the location that was in a house was changed to a ranch and we made it more ours, in the aim to achieve a product that met FOX’s standards.Meanwhile, the general producer, Roberto González, said that they will shoot for 10 weeks in locations in Mexico City, Puebla and the Tenexac ranch in Tlaxcala, to make most of the unfolding of the story, which has enough characters to make the plot longer, but we are being faithful to the spine, with the appropriate tropicalizations for the region.González assured that FOX contributed with the story, but the production belongs to Azteca. He admitted being an admirer of horror stories, which in turn is a challenge when producing these stories.
