Mauricio Majul, general director of Azteca Trece, assured that the audience has warmly welcomed the new season of MasterChef México and that in the channel they have high expectations with their big bets for Sundays.
“MasterChef México has been well received. We had the first episode with a maximum audience and the following episodes have done very well, too. We have very defined archetypes among the participants and the audience has embraced the program. The format will extend until December, with 17 weeks and in the last ten, we are very strong. The program has all the elements to succeed and we trust it will,” he expressed.
The executive explained that each week they face new challenges, but the audience has increased in relation with previous editions. It grew more than one rating point compared with the first three programs of MasterChef Junior México, also from this year, and almost one reach point, according to Nielsen.
“It is the first time we do it here and being in Mexico gives us a great advantage since we can have local teams and ingredients, and this way the challenges on the field are easier. We see this format as one that will last for the long term and we hope it lasts many years more,” he explained.
MasterChef México is an Endemol Shine Latino format, produced by TV Azteca and Boomdog. The program is made under the executive production of Alejandro Esquivel, who has also been in previous seasons.
