Azteca presented the members of the fifth edition of the reality show La Isla, which this year will have 12 famous participants, such as Ana La Salvia and Jorge Alberti and 12 other unknown people who will live for three months in Los Callos in Honduras. A production team will travel all the way there to make shots in 4K.In an interview with PRODU, Azteca´s director of New Projects, Ricardo Coeto, assured that regarding logistics, “this is the most complex island we have done. We took two units, one on land an another one on the islands, because 85% of the games would be in the water, and the trials would be held in swamps surrounded by water, which we would also use to shoot some places with 4K technology. We want to exploit those landscapes with this technology”.The director added that the production process will last four months but the recording itself is 40 to 60 days and we start shooting in two weeks in order to be aired by the end of October or beginning of November. “When it is being aired, we will attempt to have 65 programs for each edition, but this year it will be 70 or a bit more, since we have 24 at the moment and that will take more time”.
