Escape Perfecto drove growth in June
Azteca America delivered some of the best ratings results in the network’s history in July, achieving the network’s highest July prime time delivery since 2012.
Azteca was the fastest-growing Spanish-language broadcast network in July among key demos, including Total Viewers (+27%), Adults 18-49 (+14%), according to Nielsen. This was Azteca’s second consecutive month of year-over-year growth in prime time among these demos.
Prime time programs delivered double and triple digit growth for the network, including +300% among Adults 18-49 for its gameshow, Escape Perfecto at 7pm. Azteca’s new 10pm crime and investigation programming block growed 69% year-over-year for the hour.
Beyond prime time, Azteca is showing growth in other key time periods among Adults 18-49 – in Daytime (+122%) and Weekend Late Fringe (+55%) Azteca was the fastest-growing Spanish broadcaster. Viewers in Early Fringe (+13%), Weekend Daytime (+19%) and Total Day (+7) also grew in July.
KPDF in Phoenix was the fastest growing Spanish-language broadcaster in the market, up 45% Adults 18-49 in prime time. Additionally KYAZ in Houston delivered 51% growth while KAZA in LA delivered +12% growth in the same demo.
