Atresmedia: We want to position our channels as important means of communication for commercial companies

Mar Martínez-Raposo, general manager of Atresmedia Internacional, was En VIVO with Ríchard Izarra, Editor-in-Chief of PRODU, from Atresmedia Estudios in the outskirts of Madrid.

Twenty years after the arrival of Antena 3 Internacional to the screens of Latin America and US Hispanic, three years of ¡HOLA! TV and two of Atreseries, the goal for 2017 is to grow in value for commercial companies. “After we finish the celebrations of the 20th anniversary, we want our three signals to be important for commercial advertising companies,” said Martínez.

Martínez mentioned that all their signals in Latin America have great acceptance and are growing. “This is because we make content not only for the Spanish people who live there and who miss their country but because we make entertainment in Spanish, that thanks to culturally commonalities, Latinos and Spaniards all enjoy.”

Regarding the new OTT platform, TV everywhere, Atresmedia is not lagging behind. Despite not having their own platform, they are trying to place all the content on different platforms and all the new productions made in studios are made with quality and formats that are adaptable to all platforms.

“Since we are owners of almost everything we have on our channels, because we produce it, we were looking for a way to produce and distribute them both for TV and for new OTT platforms. We don´t have any plans to create our own OTT yet,” ended Martínez.
