2018 started off very well for Atresmedia, due to the launch of Atrescine, a new signal that is already available on Cable Onda from Panama and because they have entered other operators in the region, as well as Antena 3, ¡HOLA! TV and Atreseries.
Additionally, the results of ¡HOLA! TV’s coverage of the royal wedding in May was excellent.
“Special programming and retransmission of the wedding have allowed ¡HOLA! TV to escalate to the first place in all the channels on the DIRECTV” platform, said Mar Martínez, director of Atresmedia Internacional.
As for Atreseries, it recently launched the romantic comedy Doctor Mateo, starring Gonzalo de Castro and Natalia Verbeke, shot in natural landscapes in Asturias.
For its part, Antena 3 Internacional continues its bet on current events and entertainment. That is why they launched La Noche de Rober, an interview program, and the exclusive broadcast of Pablo Alborán’s concert in Sevilla, and Atrescine each month offers new Spanish film titles.
Regarding the Latin American market, the executive highlighted that it is going through a period of changes when big operators are investing in technology and good content has more value than ever, both for linear channels as well as for digital platforms.
