Fernanda Castillo and Rafael Amaya topped the red carpet of El Señor de los Cielos 5
Directors of Telemundo and Argos Television, as well as the cast of El Señor de los Cielos, stepped out on the red carpet organized to present the fifth season of the series launched on Tuesday June 20th at 10pm.
Epigmenio Ibarra, CEO of Argos Televisión and producer of the series, mentioned that this partnership with Telemundo has been extraordinary, and that they have been pressed to respond with results. “What you will see now are production values and Argos´ quality. Series do not produce violence, what produces it is silence.”
He highlighted that this fifth season is to be appreciated episode by episode; however, he rated El Señor de los Cielos as a miracle, since “it is consumed in OTT continuously and on open TV day after day, at the same time they are on piracy, on DVD, on premium channels and cable and it performs fine on all of them thanks to a great cast and script, a careful production and the intelligence of Telemundo for betting on this type of contents.”
On the red carpet were also Miguel Varoni, VP and Creative director at Telemundo Studios and Telemundo International Studios; Luis Silberwasser, president of Telemundo and Universo; the lead actors Rafael Amaya, Fernanda Castillo, Carmen Aub, among others.
