Animated features from Pixar for the first time in U.S. Spanish-language televisión

Telemundo announced that it has licensed the rights to broadcast multiple animated features from Disney-Pixar. This agreement marks the first time Disney-Pixar movies become available on a Spanish language television network in the U.S.The deal will bring ten box office hits, including six Academy Award winners, to U.S. Spanish-language television audiences. The first Disney-Pixar film to debut as part of the licensing agreement is the Academy Award winning animated feature The Incredibles on October 2. “Hispanics make up one-quarter of the audiences that attend animated films. We are proud to be able to bring the very best in animation to our audience,” said Joshua Mintz, senior executive vice president, Telemundo Entertainment.“We are delighted to have our animated features from Pixar for the first time in the Spanish language television network in the U.S. through Telemundo Network who has been a big support for many years,” said Fernando Barbosa, SVP of Disney Media Networks for Latin America, U.S. Hispanic and Iberia.
