América TeVe announced that since Friday, September 3rd, the channel has been broadcast by a free digital signal in South Florida. América TeVe’s new digital signal provides viewers with a better quality and a sharper resolution for them to enjoy their favorite television programs. The addition of the new signal allows the channel to obtain newer viewers that will enjoy the station’s varied programming. With a more powerful digital transmitter (antenna) in Southern Miami-Dade and a second one to the northern part of the city, América TeVe now reaches more households as it extends its coverage to the north and south of Miami. This expansion allows the independent station to reach a broader audience in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties.“This is a significant step in the growth and expansion of América TeVe, demonstrating our continued commitment and effort with the community”, said Omar Romay, President and CEO of América TeVe.“The shift to use two antennas with a digital technology, enables us to reach one million six hundred thousand extra people, who previously had no access to our signal”, said Gerd Rieger Chief Broadcast Engineer of América TeVe.
