Fremantle, Fabula, and Amazon Prime Video have announced that their hit Spanish-language psychological thriller, La Jauría, is returning for a second season.
“We are extremely proud of La Jauría. In the current political climate and the ongoing fight for justice and gender equality internationally, the first season is more relevant than ever. This was evident in the tremendous response it received before it had even launched on Amazon Prime Video in Latin America and Spain,” said Christian Vesper, EVP, Creative Director, Global Drama at Fremantle. “The second season builds on both the thriller aspects of the first, while also exploring even bigger ideas about justice and gender politics. Lucía, the Larrain’s and the whole Fabula team are incredibly talented and we look forward to continuing our partnership on season two.”
“For Fabula, it is very important to tell our stories from Chile to the rest of the world. A second season of La Jauría is also a recognition of the talent of our actors and actresses, our technicians, writers, directors, and all the professionals involved in the process,” said Angela Poblete, Regional Head of TV at Fabula.
“In La Jauría, the phenomenal women in front of and behind the camera delivered a smart and thrilling story with intrigue which has delighted our customers across Latin America and Spain,” said Javiera Balmaceda, Head of Originals for Argentina, Chile and Colombia, Amazon Prime Video.
The series is directed by the acclaimed Lucía Puenzo (XXY) and produced by Fabula (El Presidente, A Fantastic Woman) and Fremantle (My Brilliant Friend, The Young Pope, American Gods). Fremantle’s Christian Vesper, Fabula’s Juan de Dios, and Pablo Larraín, Ángela Poblete and Mariane Hartard, executive produce the series.
