Carmen Larios, SVP and Head of Content at A&E and Lifetime, stated that they have very good projects to develop, for which they are working with the producers’ community in the region. They are mainly trying to drive A&E as an entertainment channel in series, with research and urban content. “It is on this side that we are facing original production, looking for stories that specifically reflect urban life,” highlighted Larios, after commenting that they will soon announce a program based on Mexico City and its dynamics as the big metropolis it is.

She also mentioned they are working with producers with whom they have worked in the past, with very good ideas for the A&E Investiga franchise, one of the channel´s pillars, as well as films and series. “This pillar in which real life is also covered is aired on Monday evenings and has been very succesful in Mexico,” said Larios. He pointed out that they are also very strong in Argentina and Brazil, where they are also working with local producers to develop projects.

Additionally, she made a balance of the time she has been in the position –soon one year– during which she has worked to make these brands relevant in a context that is constantly changing as channels become multiplatform.
