A year after the earthquake in Mexico, History launches its original production Terremoto on September 8 at 10pm.
Miguel Brailovsky, SVP Production, and Programming at A+E Networks Latin America commented that the documentary’s main feature is that all the images were captured by the protagonists with their cell phones.
“They might not have the quality that characterizes us but we can experience the emotion of the moment they went through. Our work was to organize the images, classify the file and locate the people we wanted to interview. All of that took approximately two months,” he added.
Additionally, in September the signal will launch a new franchise: Car Week that celebrates the history of automobiles: the development of the industry, its heritage and its impact on culture.
The franchise will be launched on September 17 at 8pm with the debut of Travis Pastrana: Desafío Evel Knievel, where the icon of US motorcycling, Pastrana, will aim to pay a tribute to his idol by doing three of his most dangerous feats on a motorcycle-inspired on the one his legend used. The idea is to repeat it every year, announced Brailvosky.
Meanwhile, in October the pan-regional version of Desafío Sobre Fuego will be launched. It is one of the channel’s most successful programs in the US, where, in each episode, four blacksmiths compete to forge the most diverse types of spades of all times.
