A+E Networks: Our main goal is to become “the new generation of the media group

In 2018 the Brazil and pan-regional markets led A+E Networks Latin America´s growth in Latin America, according to Iván Bargueiras, EVP Advertising Sales.

“The revenue in 2018 duplicated the average growth compared to the rest of the industry. Both markets were the first in consolidating new sales teams, which led them to a spectacular performance,” he said.

The main goal for 2019 is to become “the new generation of the media group”. The incorporation of PlayGround and Admazing to the commercial offer confirmed by History, Lifetime, A&E and History2 have allowed them to expand their audience reach and their commercial proposal.

“We can offer them traditional media and audiences connected with social networks (300 monthly videos per month of videos watched with more than 40 million fans), videogames online (more than 240 million connected devices) and the millions of viewers who consume premium videos. This transformation will be strengthened with future ads and will allow our clients to reach a greater range of audiences, where and when they want to consume digital media,” he explained.

PlayGround currently has over 300 million monthly views and 21 million followers on Facebook.

The executive believes that social networks will continue to be what measures the pulse of everyday life, but for that, they will have to adhere to the new regulations as governments update in the tech world.
