The Hispanic Television Summit closed a 22-year chapter with its co-organizers, Broadcasting & Cable, and Multichannel News magazines from Future Group and Schramm Marketing Group, who organized the event annually.
At the start of the Summit, Joseph Schramm, CEO of Schramm Marketing Group, along with Michael Malone of Multichannel News, addressed the audience to highlight this milestone.
The 22nd edition of the event took place this Wednesday, September 11, at etc.venues on Madison Avenue in New York, with numerous executives from broadcast TV, pay TV, streaming, media, agencies, and advertisers attending to discuss Latino participation in TV and its content.
“Twenty-two years ago, the editors of these magazines recognized the importance of the Hispanic segment in the TV industry. We are grateful to the editors and executives for collaborating with us at Schramm over these two decades. The Schramm team eagerly looks forward to a new chapter where we will continue producing this Summit next year and beyond. Sadly, no longer with our friends from Multichannel News. It’s important to note that this Summit was first presented in 2002, just one year after the tragedy of September 11, which today marks 23 years,” said Schramm. A minute of silence was then observed to honor the victims of that tragic event.
Malone highlighted that they proudly presented the event for 22 years and that these publications will cease operations at the end of this month. “It has been an honor working with Schramm Marketing Group, and we wish them success with the conference in the future,” he said.
