The sports vignettes produced by Sabbatical Entertainment for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia were repackaged in two new long formats: A Goles (goals) and Contraataque (Counterattack). Both will be showcased at LA Screenings.
This series of microprograms or capsules for the 2018 World Cup was acquired by Sinclair Broadcast Group, the largest television network operator with complete coverage in the US, with 223 affiliates, and the Spanish multinational Telefónica.
Due to the sports vignettes success and its flexibility as a new format, Sabbatical Entertainment is now producing the series A Goles, composed by 8 special episodes, each one presenting the most outstanding players and the four national teams that are part of each of the World Cup groups, plus the best of the other football capsules: Inolvidable (Unforgettable), Íconos (Icons) and Media Naranja (Better Half). In addition, it will be presenting the two-hour special Contraataque, about the 32 countries that will be playing the 2018 World Cup and the 11 host cities and stadiums where matches will be played.
“This adaptable hybrid format is now available in short capsules that can be used for advertising and digital, as well as in longer versions that adapt to all programming needs,” said Miguel Somoza, CEO of Sabbatical Entertainment.
