Actor Ignacio Serricchio from Telemundo: Current Hispanics now seek more sophisticated content in Spanish

The actor Ignacio Serricchio, star of El Recluso, Telemundo Internacional Studios’ (TIS) first production, was commissioned by the network to present the new political thriller series, Prisionero Número Uno, in the context of NBCUniversal´s Upfront on Monday, May 14 at the Radio City Music Hall.

“There is no doubt that Hispanics in the US are a political, economic and cultural power, increasingly influencing every aspect of our country and no one can reach this coveted demo better than Telemundo. Current Hispanics are now seeking more sophisticated content in Spanish. Now it isn´t a matter of habits, but of options. Telemundo understands this and has engaged these TV viewers better than anybody with innovative original productions,” said Serricchio.

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises joined the general Upfront of NBCUniversal channels: Bravo, CNBC, E!, Golf Channel, MSNBC, NBC Entertainment, NBC News, NBC Sports Network, Oxygen, Universal Kids, Syfy and USA.

During the presentation, Telemundo launched its campaign This Is Me that highlights the impact of the Latina community in the economic and political life of the US. The network´s news team joined the teams of the anglo sister signals to highlight the huge commitment that NBCUniversal-Comcast has with the information area. Another outstanding element was the coverage of the 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup, that starts in almost 30 days on Telemundo as official TV network for US Hispanic.
