Zee Mundo: We launched through the satellite per request of small cable operators

Zee Mundo launched in March through the satellite (before they were only on IP) per request of small cable operators. “We want to be accessible to everyone in the region,” said Javier López, general manager of the channel.

As they announced a few months ago, in May they will launch a new application, in which all the mechanisms to consume content will exist. “It will be possible to watch the channel in direct, a la carte, as you wish, with more than 650 hours of production. It will be possible, for example, to buy films that are no longer aired on the channel or in series seasons”.

He explained that the application will be an additional tool for cable operators, that are very important for the channel.
Zee Mundo currently has three million subscribers and they are present in 13 countries. “This month we are launching the signal in Argentina and Costa Rica, and we are launching a new operation in Chile as well as in Puerto Rico. We are expanding distribution, understanding that it is now a very mature market.”
