Wayne Garvie, president of International Production, Sony Pictures Television, announced some changes to the senior management team of SPT International Production.
Among the changes is Richard Parsons who is taking on the new role of EVP, Operations for International Production. “In this new role he will oversee all operational and commercial matters affecting the Group,” says the memo.
Also, Garvie asked Angélica Guerra, current SVP/Managing Director of International Production for Latin America and US Hispanic, to join the senior management team. Garvie described the work done by Guerra as “an inspiring example of leadership across our Latin America team.”
The letter also mentions that Brendan Fitzgerald is joining the division in the new role of SVP, International Co-Productions. “We believe there is an even greater international demand for English language co-productions and Brendan will be utilizing his vast network and experience to bring new projects to Sony,” adds Garvie.
“There are exciting times ahead for all of us and I believe our leadership and the collective team is perfectly positioned to maximize the many opportunities that lie ahead,” ends Garvie in the letter.
