Leonardo Bricio stars as David in Univision Network new epic series El Rey David
From the creators of Moisés y Los Diez Mandamientos and La Tierra Prometida, the Brazilian mega-production, El Rey David, debuts December 11 at 8pm ET/PT (7pm CT) on Univision.
The Record TV production follows David’s story from his early life through his enthronement in Israel and the establishment of Jerusalem as the kingdom’s capital.
Filmed on location in Brazil, Canada, and Chile’s Atacama desert, the series features meticulous attention to detail, stunning costumes and breathtaking cinematography.
Veteran Brazilian actor Leonardo Brício stars in the title role, with Gracindo Júnior as David’s predecessor King Saul; Renata Domínguez as his wife, Bathsheba; Marta Ribeira as Michal, daughter of Saul; and Iran Malfitano as Saul’s ill-fated cousin, Abner.
