CincoMAS, a Mediaset signal, is available in operators such as ClaroTV and Sky in Mexico and operators in Chile, Paraguay, Ecuador, Peru, Central America and the Caribbean.
Yolanda Giordani, responsible for the channel, said they would soon announce other big agreements that will significantly increase their distribution in the region.
According to the executive, Argentina –being one of the countries with biggest pay TV penetration in Latin America— represents one of the main markets where they want the signal to reach, taking into account that the Argentinean TV viewer can have great affinity with the Spanish one and thus may be receptive to their offer, which includes entertainment, news programs, and fiction”.
Since all these contents are their own, they are also available for VOD platforms as a complement to linear programming.
“Having the availability of 100% of our programming on VOD is, undoubtedly, the best way to adapt to the audience’s changes in media consumption and a great added value and differential. The viewer does not give up anything and has the contents available to watch both in a linear and a selective way,” she explained.
