ViendoMovies brings in August a cycle of films on migration

The Bolivian film Norte Estrecho

ViendoMovies announced for the month of August varied and entertaining programming, with films produced in Mexico, Spain, Venezuela, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and other countries, as well as a cycle of films that cover the topic of migration.

The debuts start with the Mexican films Volverá el Polvo a la Tierra, a story about Marno, who, upon losing his wife, tries to transplant her soul to the body of a young woman; and Crónicas, about a news anchor in Miami who travels to a small city in Ecuador to cover the story of the children´s serial murderer.

Then comes the Bolivian film Norte Estrecho, winner of Best Film at the Sunscreen Festival, about the experience of Latin American migrants. Another one is the Venezuelan film El Malquerido, about the life of the famous “Bolerista de América”, Felipe Pirela.

Other films include Bailando con Margot that tells the story of the robbery of a famous picture in the Margot mansion in Havanna, with a detective that will solve the case. Additionally, El Cielo en el Infierno, a Dominican black comedy.

The immigration cycle will be presented every Sunday at 9pm, starting with: La Vida Precoz y Breve de Sabina Rivas, youngsters who meet again at the border between Mexico and Guatemala. After that, La Jaula de Oro, on the topic of Central American migration, when crossing Mexico to reach the US and, they will also present the Mexican documentary La Frontera Infinita.
