Telehit: We turned a TV channel into a platform with contents and creative heritage

In the aim to approach new audiences, Telehit presented the first stage of its renovation, which will include three main axis: the linear aspect of TV with long contents, short contents for social networks and contents generated by the audience. In the second stage, they will launch an application that will allow users interact with the signal.

“I have been quite in touch with the audience analysis people to see qualitative matters regarding trends and with the digital strategy people to see how they can be positioned and the types of formats, as well as their duration, to achieve a TV channel that becomes a platform with its contents and creative heritage, and eventually replicate the business model in an open TV signal in Televisa,” commented Carlos Murguía, general producer at Telehit.

He assured that long 26×15’ contents, as well as short ones for social networks and generation of content by the audience are the three main axis of this first phase of change, whereas a second phase would be the app and production of a hybrid reality, contest programs and a fiction program are the main bets.
