Óscar. Una Pasión Surrealista
The TV channel Gran Cine announced the premiere of the acclaimed period drama Óscar. Una Pasión Surrealista on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 10pm.
This film, starring the talented Joaquim de Almeida and the multifaceted Victoria Abril, drives admiration for the bohemian painter, contemporary with Picasso, Óscar Domínguez, who led a life of excesses and sorrow, after being diagnosed with Elephant man’s disease.
Convinced he was becoming a disfigured monster, the artist committed suicide leaving behind countless masterpieces. The film is a Report Line production.
“Óscar Domínguez is considered as one of the pillars of Spanish surrealism. His paintings are displayed on the walls of some the most prestigious museums in the world,” said Jesús Piñango, director of TV Content Strategy at Olympusat. “This movie portrays exactly why his work is so renowned around the world; Lucas Fernández did a great job writing the script and directing the film.”
