Telemundo Houston announces new Assistant News director

Sussy Ruiz has been named Assistant News director for Telemundo Houston.

“Sussy brings over 16 years of experience, most-recently working in various newsrooms and across all platforms, in her role as regional local news broadcast and digital manager at Univision,” said Jerry Vazquez, vice president of News at Telemundo Houston

During her time as News executive producer at Univision Houston, Ruiz supervised editorial content for the station’s news platforms and worked with other departments in establishing strategy, planning and integration.

“Sussy is very passionate and creative, in terms of her approach. I am proud to have her join our news management team, as she brings great value to our department and station overall,” added Vázquez.
