The 14th Annual Hispanic Television Summit, held on Thursday October 20 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York was the context for the official launching of Zee Mundo’s new signal, that presents the best Bollywood films and series dubbed into Spanish.
“For me, being in Zee Mundo is like a 360º shift in my professional career, a return to my marketing roots and I am very pleased and grateful about it,” commented enthusiastically Rolando Figueroa, Head of Marketing US Hispanic and Latin America at Zee Entertainment / Zee Mundo.
He highlighted that the communicational and positioning strategy is aimed at three audiences: consumer, operator and the advertising agency. “Our main idea is to communicate that we are bringing a unique product, that didn’t exist in the Hispanic market, not even in the general US market. It is a different product from what exists in the pay TV in Spanish offer, with high quality production, entirely dubbed into Spanish and in high definition. Besides, we compete very well with channels in Latin America,” he explained.
Figueroa added that Zee Mundo´s stories cross borders because they are universal, covering topics like migration.
One of the actions that is part of the communicational campaign of the channel are grassroots events in local movie theaters, together with pay TV operators, to make Bollywood films known to the audience.
