Viacom International Studios has two studios, 15,000 square feet large, that could be considered the most modern in South Florida.
In an exclusive visit, Carlos Lamus, Operations director at Viacom International Studios, mentioned that each one of these spaces has a grid placed more than 13 feet high, an 80-ton air conditioner system, 384 lighting points and two thousand amperes.
“These studios are open for anyone who wants to produce in the industry or any local event organizer. If we don’t have any production in the studios, we can rent them.”
Lamus, who has been in the industry for 34 years (24 with RCTV as a producer and 10 in Miami working with Sony, Telemundo, Cisneros and Viacom), assured they have already made two productions, one for MTV and another for Nickelodeon.
The facilities are located in Wynwood. “Producers here have spaces that are privileged because of their location and size.”
There are 12 postproduction suites, all under Avid, Avid Media Composer, Symphony, DaVinci, and a Pro Tools 5.1 room.
“They are state-of-the-art studios, we have lighting, video, audio equipments, post-production rooms, carpentry area, cafeteria, conference rooms, everything to execute your production.”
