Twitter fue uno de los factores influyentes que impulsaron las decisiones de compra decembrinas
A study by DB5, on behalf of Twitter, revealed how the social network influences their users when buying gifts during the holiday season.More than half of the 2,100 users of the platform, over 13 years who were surveyed, commented that the promotions they have learned in the social network motivated to purchase an item that otherwise could not obtain. 52% also claimed to know a product for the first time on Twitter that then they bought. However, for shops, shopping is still mainly driven by ratings and reviews, paper catalogs, email promotions and search results from Google; provided that the retailer offers the image of that product. Just before the holiday season of 2013, Baynote online pollster found that Twitter was one of the influential factors driving purchasing decisions for holidays in stores, falling behind search engines, Facebook and Pinterest.DB5 said that what makes users of Twitter is to start Christmas shopping before, spend more and may be more prone to impulse buying. However, 39% of respondents said that Twitter was so easy to find at anytime, anywhere, and served as an indispensable tool for undecided people about what to give their loved ones during the holidays.
