Paul Fusco, creador de Alf: Como imagen de DIRECTV Alf está listo para ser redescubierto por otra generación
Since last July, 25 it can be seen different spots of Alf, the famous character of the 80´s series that tells the adventures of an alien with a middle class family, as the image of DIRECTV. Also on page www.alfvuelve.com explaining that Alf is the number 1 fan of the cable company. Besides the hashtag #AlfVuelve was created.The campaign is directed by Colombian filmmaker Simon Brand and designed by the international agency Leo Burnett, and intends to show DIRECTV leadership in entertainment and technology, while encouraging its warm and friendly side. Paul Fusco, creator of the character, said “I would like everyone to see that Alf is still alive, funny and has much more to say … if we give him the chance. He is ready to be rediscovered by another generation. I am grateful to DIRECTV for giving us this opportunity.”About the character, which he says he owes it a lot, Fusco says “it was developed from a series of TV programs for celebrations I was producing, in which there were fantasy creatures. In the development phase, Alf left the drawing board and I took the picture of its appearance. I started experimenting with the kind of voice that it would have had and imagined how his actions had been, and began to play with it. I realized that Alf could say almost anything and not be censured for it.”
