Karla Martínez junto a Colgate promueve los beneficios de la higiene bucal

Colgate-Palmolive joined Univision’s hostess Karla Martinez for its new campaign. Both will launch the Mes de la salud bucal (The month of oral health) with the objective of educating US Hispanic families about the importance of a proper oral health. As mother of two young girls, Martinez thinks it is important to teach her daughters and the Hispanic community the importance of a good oral health. Martinez visited Los Angeles on Sunday, June 7th, and Houston on Sunday, June, 14th, to promote this message in the Hispanic community. According to the Hispanic Dental Association, almost 40% of Hispanic adults live with a non-treated dental disease, almost twice than non-Hispanic White people. Additionally, it is probable that twice the Hispanic children have non-treated caries compared to non-Hispanic white children. That is why very important for Colgate to reach Latino communities, and through the Mes de la salud bucal, to provide resources on bilingual oral education on the Internet and to offer free dental exams for children in need through Colgate’s mobile dental vans Bright smiles, bright futures.
