Cannes Lions honrará al director Joe Pytka
The organizers of the 61 edition of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity proudly announced that the prestigious Lion of St. Mark award will be given to director Joe Pytka, to honor his long and renowned contribution to creativity in the advertising and communications industry.”Joe Pytka has directed some of the best and well-known TV commercials, his prolific work has had a great influence in the advertising for television,” Terry Savage, Cannes Lions Festivals president, said. “He has produced many and awarded commercials for many global brands, his creations have inspired colleagues and audiences equally. It is with great honor and respect that we award Joe with the Lion of St. Mark, for his incredible contribution to the industry,” he added.Pytka has created commercials for important brands such as Pepsi, Nike, General Electric, DuPont, Fedex, Perrier, among many others. Besides, he is the man behind many famous Super Bowl commercials and he has become known for his work with celebrities like Madonna, Michael Jordan, Tom Hanks, Tiger Woods, Marlon Brando and president Obama, to name a few. He has also filmed two movies and videos for The Beatles, John Lennon and Michael Jackson.Regarding the award, Joe Pytka said: “Cannes Lions has always been the reference point where great works are measured and it has been the center of my professional life.
