Maria Pimienta, best known as Mary Pepper, awarded Hispanic producer BaseCamp Ent’s founder, talked to PRODU about her position regarding new trend that reach a height in the advertising industry. For Pimienta, the Total Market is an accurate concept that means the States are not a series of isolated markets, but a ship where everybody is welcome, even though there are first class and economic cabins. “That is something we understand at BaseCamp Entertainment since we started in 2011, we have well-known directors of different cultures, languages, as well as producers of different disciplines,” she added.Besides, she considers that events like FIAP and AHAA, that ended at the beginning of the month, are festivals that do not fail in attracting a group of creative and innovative minds in advertising, both the general and the Latino markets. In fact, she describes them as an opportunity to share and break with the routine. Not always could have been perfect, since she believes the Hispanic advertising market must still “redouble efforts to educate clients about the importance of knowing the consumer deeply, and to prove the client that Hispanic agencies know them like anybody else.” Nevertheless, with encouraging words, she explained that the creative level is always looking at the best. “The creative vision does not know any limits, regardless the country or the language,” she ended.
