Patrizio Spagnoletto of Yahoo!: More and more advertisers will add online campaigns to their marketing strategies

21 de septiembre de 2012

Patrizio Spagnoletto, global VP of B2B marketing for Yahoo!, will take part as a speaker on the television panel Demasiado Lejos? (Too Remote?) at the Festival of Media LatAm 2012 this Monday, Sept. 24. For PRODU’s Special Coverage of the event, Spagnoletto offered his opinion on the Latin American and the U.S. Hispanic markets and their evolution.“Latin America has the third largest number of Internet users in the world and is growing faster than any other region. This represents a great opportunity not only for Yahoo! but for advertisers, marketers and users. In the coming years this region will be on the world stage with the World Cup and the Olympic Games, which means the Festival of Media LatAm comes at a wonderful time to discuss and get to know how to take maximum advantage of the online format,” Spagnoletto said. The executive let it be known that his company is very optimistic about online advertising in the region. “Online advertising in Latin America is growing by approximately 20 percent per year. For its part, the United States has a population of 50 million Hispanics. Advertising investment on the Internet has not yet caught up with all that growth, so there’s still a long way to go. Television and magazines continue to be the leaders in advertising expenditure,” he said.Spagnoletto added that as the number of Internet users continues to grow in Latin America, more and more advertisers may be expected to add online campaigns to their marketing strategies.
