The platform Snapchat starts 2015 showing its great potential and ability to reach out to one major market groups: The Millennial Generation. According to the survey conducted by Cowen & Company, mobile users aged between 18 and 29 years accounted for 71% of American Internet users that had accessed the application in the last 30 days. After this group followed by users of 30-44 years, representing 19%; and the group of 45-60 years, only 9%.A demographic breakdown made in the USA by CivicScience in August 2014 points to the Millennial Generation as the main public interest; and although the audience of Snapchat in the US is still small, its current selling price is valued at about $750,000.It is known that many advertisers and marketers have been slow to engage with Snapchat, due to its small audience. It is presumed that the innovative app still has a long way to go, despite its great influence on millennials. However, it is never too late for those seeking new ways to capture the attention of this group of consumers, Snapchat could open a window of opportunity.
