This year seems to be the beginning of a great boom for the mobile and Facebook users. According to a new forecast by eMarketer, nearly a billion of the social network users worldwide will have access to it on their mobile phones at least once a month in 2015.Moreover, it is projected that by 2018, more than three quarters of the audience of the network will access the platform via mobile phones on a regular basis, totaling 1340 million users.It’s no secret that mobile has been the main driver of growth in the advertising business of the company during the past year. During 2013, 45% of Facebook’s revenue on advertising worldwide was obtained through mobile ads. This year, as estimated by eMarketer, this will account for 73% of the advertising revenue of the network on a global scale.”Facebook has been a leader in helping merchants in the transition to mobile advertising,” Debra Aho Williamson said, eMarketer principal analyst. “Because the Facebook experience is basically the same on different devices, advertisers do not have to reinvent the wheel to place mobile advertising”. In general, for 2015, mobile Facebook users will represent over 60% of mobile social audience worldwide.
