The Ad Council and the Dollar General Literacy Foundation launched new public service ads (PSA), to support their national campaign Finish your diploma, to offer adults information to obtain a high school equivalent diploma. “The new commercials join real stories with information on classes and educational resources for adults, and we hope they inspire and empower people to pursue their goals through education,” said Denine Torr, from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.The new PSA celebrate adult students in the US and strengthen the idea that no one achieves it alone. The new campaign Finish your Diploma launches a new Instagram channel to complement their current presence in Facebook. Additionally, it encourages the audience to support graduate adults and inspires others to obtain their diploma by participating in the social activity #HatsOffToYou. “We are very proud to start changing the conversation on adult education in the US,” adds Lisa Sherman, President and CEO of Ad Council. To celebrate the great accomplishments of graduate adults, participants are asked to share on social networks with that hashtag, a video or picture of themselves throwing a cap up in the air -whether it is a graduation cap, baseball cap or any other type.
