Jaguar Land Rover chose Havas Formula as its record agency for automotive and lifestyle public relations in the U.S., after a competitive review.Michael Olguín, President of Havas Formula, will stay involved in the account going forward, along with at least seven staffers in different offices. “The automotive press is always a top priority for Jaguar Land Rover, but the lifestyle is equally as important as that” Olguin said. In addition to media outreach and sponsorship support, Havas Formula will engage relevant influencers, he mentioned.The pitch, that was handled internally with Jaguar Land Rover’s purchasing department, had four final competitors, but the automaker initially reached out to 15 agencies, expressed Stuart Schorr, VP of Communications for Jaguar Land Rover North America.According to Schorr, Jaguar Land Rover’s in-house team had been able to generate publicity successfully but the marketer had decided to enhance and upgrade its operations in the U.S. to reflect its growth.
