Jessica Herrera-Flanigan of Univision: Back to School with Univision explores key issues for students

For the sixth year Univision launched back-to-school season with an expanded multi-platform education campaign entitled, Regresa a Clases con Univision (Back to School with Univision). “We are expanding Univision’s back to school initiative as we know that engaging and empowering the growing number of Hispanic students and their parents is critical to academic success” said in a press release Jessica Herrera-Flanigan, EVP of Government & Corporate Affairs. “Regresa a Clases con Univision strives to help the Hispanic community throughout every stage of the education journey and this year’s campaign gives us more time to go in-depth on the issues most important to parents and students.” A new approach this year is that Univision Contigo is working with the Televisa Foundation to host coding parties to inspire young people to develop their skills in a fun, accessible and social way. The education campaign includes education fairs across the U.S. where more than 300 non-profit organizations will provide information, resources and tips on financing education, enrichment programs and education services.
