Amazon will relaunch the international streaming service of MGM as MGM+ in Latin America this Monday, April 1st.
This news follows recent relaunches in Europe and the United States. Alongside the relaunch in Latin America, MGM+ will premiere the series Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3 and Black Mafia Family Season 3 in Brazil, Mexico, and the rest of Latin America on April 1st. Customers can subscribe to MGM+ through Prime Video Channels.
“The relaunch in Latin America on April 1st is part of our ongoing efforts to capitalize on the strength of the iconic MGM brand and accelerate our growth as a premium international streaming service,” said Josh McIvor, Global Managing Director of MGM+.
“We are excited to offer MGM’s vast content library to our viewers in Latin America, from popular TV series like The Handmaid’s Tale, Stargate, and Teen Wolf, to blockbuster movie franchises like Rocky, Creed, Chucky, The Pink Panther, and Legally Blonde. This iconic MGM content has recently been joined by a wide range of premiere series and movies from Lionsgate/Starz to enhance our overall service in Latin America,” said Michael Katzer, Head of MGM+ International.
The news is part of a series of strategic agreements that MGM+ has closed with Lionsgate/Starz in Europe and Latin America. These agreements have granted MGM+ subscribers access to more series and movies at no additional cost to their previous MGM+ subscription. MGM+ is now available in 31 countries and is one of the Prime Video channels with the most subscribers.
