Chisme No Like, one of the most successful Spanish language entertainment news programs in the world, has joined the Pitaya Entertainment podcast network. Hosted by Elisa Beristain and Javier Ceriani, Chisme No Like has a weekly audience that exceeds that of many of Univision and Telemundo’s most popular programs.The podcast recently received the “Best Streaming Program in Latin America” award at the Martín Fierro 2023 Awards. PRODU spoke with the show’s hosts about the challenges of covering entertainment news in their signature investigative style. “We define our style as unique, sarcastic and fun, and we take great pride in offering top-level information, regularly securing exclusives before anyone else,” said Elisa Beristain and Javier Ceriani. “Our special style of presenting entertainment and showbiz news, speaking directly, without fear and with evidence, has positioned us above shows that only bring the same tired formula to the table. Chisme No Like does not have those restrictions, and our fans realize that. We cover stories as they are, not pulling any punches, while traditional media tends to be more subtle in what they say, which sometimes leads them to not give their audience the full picture,” said Elisa and Javier. Chisme No Like has a wide range of followers, from very young to over 50 years old, which makes it a very attractive show for advertisers. According to the hosts, advertisers like Ecologica and Stop Sweat have seen their sales increase by 80% since they began advertising on the show.Hispanic podcast listening conquers new milestonesAccording to data published by Edison Research, a record number of Hispanics in the US report that they are now monthly podcast consumers. Monthly podcast audiences among Latinos have increased by 52% since 2020, almost four times faster than the rate of the general US population. Pitaya Entertainment is one of the most successful Spanish language podcast networks in the world.
