Mexico is a priority market for Curiosity, where they see “a great opportunity for our products, from streaming and licenses to linear channels and FAST. We offer all of them and are anxious and willing to adapt to the needs of our commercial partners,” commented Jay Sodha, VP International Business Development and Partnerships at Curiosity.
The recent distribution agreements consolidated by Curiosity in Mexico highlight the launch of the linear channel with Izzi and with Dish Mexico for the tier 2 package.
Sodha expressed that this year the company has focused on improving partnerships significantly, whether through new licensing relations or agreements of several years that show their product portfolio. “We continue seeing a global demand for our premium factual content as audiences look for alternatives to reality content. Our main lesson this year continues to be working with partners to grow our brands and back their commercial needs as consumers continue testing and interacting with the content on multiple platforms” she said.
Sodha believes that for 2024, FAST will continue to be the most outstanding conversation topic. “We are excited to present more offers worldwide in this space” she added.
Regarding tools like ChatGPT and artificial intelligence, she mentioned they are experimenting with the use of technologies in different ways, “but we know the best way to tell our objective stories is through real-life people who have experiences to share with our audience”.
