Otto Padron de Meruelo Media
Otto Padrón, president and CEO of Meruelo Media and renowned Hispanic executive, will be a member of the Silver Circle of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which recognizes professionals who have made significant and impactful contributions to the industry for 25 years or more. Honorees also contribute to the community as mentors, educators, and volunteers.
The appointment of the 2023 Gold Circle (who have over 50 years in the industry) and Silver members will take place during a ceremony on September 27, and Padrón will be one of nine to be honored this year.
Padrón began his television career in 1992 as an executive producer for Telemundo Network. In 1994, he was appointed Director of Programming and Production Management, responsible for developing the network’s programming and programming unit acquisitions.
He joined Univisión in 1995 as Director of Programming for Special Projects. He was appointed Director of On-Air Promotions in 1996 and promoted to Director of Programming for the network in 1998.
A few years ago, he joined Los Angeles-based Meruelo Media.
