TV Azteca’s general director of Contents, Adrián Ortega, announced that Fernando Muñiz has joined his team as Director of Distribution and Strategic Alliances. Muñiz will lead the distribution of TV Azteca networks, of its national and international signals, as well as new businesses.
“It is an interesting challenge because it has several aspects and among them is the distribution, making strategic alliances with other companies, bringing business to the company, which has been my core all my life in this industry,” Muñiz said to PRODU.
Muñiz has 25 years of experience in the industry in trading content and advertising internationally, as well as in channel programming and content production, marketing, and new business development. His goal is to make available the TV brand Azteca to everyone with a solid strategy aiming to conquer the market.
“Fernando has a long and successful career in the industry, creating numerous alliances, business opportunities, and synergies with large platforms around the world,” said Ortega.
Muñiz added that LA Screenings will be his first market with TV Azteca, a company that he described as the most crucial producer of Spanish-speaking content in the world. “We definitely have to be in the forefront in all distribution areas and windows. My main task is to take Azteca’s content to where it should be and make the company’s horizons grow”.
