JK Media Group attended Content Americas with 11 projects in its portfolio: three movies, two series, and six docuseries. According to Sebastián Jiménez, CEO, they felt very pleased with the market results for the company: “It exceeded our expectations, we were able to meet with our clients and new ones, all very focused on our Latino market.”
He noted that once again the Hispanic market is demanding content, which is an advantage for his company. “A lot of streamers are trying to reach that market again. They say to us: ‘You are the experts in docuseries, and celebrity reality shows, we need something.’ We are based in Los Angeles which is the strongest place to produce content for that audience,” commented Jiménez.
Regarding future projects, Jiménez announced that they acquired the rights to a book by a very successful journalist in England, but that it is a story that takes place in Mexico. “It is a cross between drug trafficking and the financial world.”
They are also developing two projects with their partners of 360 Powwow. “Both feature celebrities from the music industry, two Mexicans, one from the world of narcocorridos and the other from the pop world,” he concluded.
