Scripts of Respeto were rewritten for new protocols

“This challenging environment is making us change the way we approach our clients and how we produce,” said Beatriz Cea Okan, VP and Head of Sales and Acquisitions for Latin America at Inter Medya, during the PRODU webinar: Selling Programming in Times of Crisis.

The company, that in 2019 had its debut in original production with the seriesBehzat Ç, had to delay that year its second production of their own, Saygi (Respect), but was able to resume shootings on June 28. The scriptwriters, making the most of the quarantine months, rewrote the story to adapt it to new shooting protocols.

“Turkey has several protocols (from producers, from associations). Inter Medya adapted strictly and with great caution,” explained Cea Okan.

Regarding the cancellation of the face-to-face fairs, she mentioned that everyone misses face-to-face but they have adapted to negotiate through the tools technology offers. “This has been our destiny, we are learning and the business continues,” she assured.
