AT&T announced that all its employees will start to work from their homes as far as possible. One of the company´s division is WarnerMedia, that includes important media brands as CNN, CNN en Español, HBO, TNT, TBS, and Warner Bros, as reported by Brian Stelter, from CNN Business.
Jeff Zucker, Chairman, WarnerMedia News and Sports & President, CNN Worldwide, assured that CNN´s television news coverage will not be affected. “CNN is very different from almost any other part of the company, especially at this moment, and there are some positions that will continue to have a presence in the office”.
The CEO, John Stankey, explained that the measures are being taken because they are committed to helping stop the spreading of coronavirus and the risk of exposure. The measures do not have a defined period and could be extended in the long term. “To support our colleagues who need to continue working in person in our offices we must help reduce the population density and exposure risk in those places, minimizing personnel at the site”.
