César Sabroso, SVP of Marketing at A+E Networks Latin America, emphasized that the need for good content has not died. “TV has not died. The demand, the need, the wish for TV content is increasingly greater, regardless of where it is consumed,” commented Sabroso in his presentation History, 25 Años. La Transformación de Un Canal a Lo Largo de Los Años in the context of BB Media Day 2020.
He highlighted that History, that celebrates 25 in the US and 20 in Latin America, has remained relevant thanks to the emotional connection with users and their global, international, and local content. “History is teamwork,” he added
He announced that to celebrate, this year three important initiatives are launched: the History Talks, the podcasts History Speaks, and the first History.con to be celebrated for three days starting April 3 in Pasadena, California. He also mentioned among the programming novelties the miniseries Washington; the debut of Grant and the second season of Project Blue Book.
