Sony defines its formula to maintain success

The landscape of global entertainment is going through a period of huge change. Sony Pictures Television has understood this well and starts to define its formula to maintain their success in the increasingly fragmented global market that demands more contents of all types.

“Traditional studios are retaining their own products to cover viewers´ demands in an increasingly fragmented market. As the leading independent studio, SPT is centered in creating, producing, and acquiring premium content. An important part of the equation is going to be great stories, first-rate talent, and brand integration creative opportunities that we can offer ouf advertisers,” points out Nathascha Rengifo, VP Distributions and Channels at Sony Pictures Television for Latin America (except Brazil and Mexico).

SPT not only is a content producer and distributor, but also has the emblematic signals Sony Channel and AXN. “This helps us maintain a continuous conversation with our local partners and affilliates as we continue to strive to offer more hours of content of our amazing channels —in a selective way— through our VOD and TVE offers”.

The company was in the Andina Link fair with a handful of launches. Part of Sony Channel´s offer in the Andean region include Shark Tank Colombia, Food Truck Challenge, Grey’s Anatomy and the new program, En la Luna con Jesús Guzmán. In AXN they have the franchises CSI and NCIS, as well as Seal team and Snatch.
